Janet L. Tanguay Visual Mixed Media Artist

Janet Tanguay Voted
"Best Visual Artist"
in the Times Union
Best of 2007 Poll

Janet Tanguay was born and raised in Vermont. Her interest in three-dimensional works of art began in her last semester at the University of Vermont. In 2001, she obtained certification as an Expressive Arts Therapist/Creativity Coach at Glass Lake Studio (now called New York Expressive Arts), a European Graduate School, Saas Fe, Switzerland affiliate.

Ms. Tanguay has sold her work nationally (Connecticut, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina and Vermont) and internationally (Africa, Canada, and England). Recent shows have included Saratoga Hospital Medical Library “Art in Public Places” and Sand Lake Center for the Arts “Variations in the Rhythm of Life”. Tanguay’s recent works use broken instrument parts to portray how society’s discarded items can be transformed into something raw, inspiring, spiritual and beautiful.

In 2005, Tanguay published her second children’s book “Be Bee”, available on www.amazon.com
